These files document communication between Governor William O. Bradley and the General Assembly regarding affairs of the state. Included are documents concerning the spread of glanders, a "dangerous and contagious disease among horses," and flooding in Fulton and Hickman counties, both dated April 1897. Also included is a document concering a smallpox epidemic in Middlesboro and other sections of the state dated March 1898.
